Metropolis film analysis

Fritz lang was the filmmaker of Metropolis, I know this because of the credits. He wanted to make the biggest film of that time. He just wanted to make an impression on the American market.  Fritz is very romantic, only because in the the film Metropolis he has the character falling for each other, which is very common in most movies. He's also a very good expressionist
It was made for audiences of 1927 and on. It was made to entertain the people of that time period. It was the first ever science-fiction film, other films later followed with the same idea. Metropolis elaborated a lot of gothic cathedral and futuristic cityscape. The film used Art Deco architecture and was very influentual.

Chase Sequence, Camera Angles

Camera movements are used to direct the viewers attention, provide  narrative information and create emphasis. Also may serve as a structural purpose within a film. The effects movements have on the viewer is being able to bring it to life in an unique quality. It helps shape the viewers perspective of the world created by the filmmaker. If i were to complete the project again I would have thought out the whole story a little more, also change some of the camera angles/movements, to insure that my viewers get a better connection between the characters in the film. I do have to say it turned out pretty well, the ending of the camera movements worked really well with the storyline.
